FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

More Things To Know About Septic System Design

In short, yes! Conventional and aerobic systems are the most widely used system types, but depending on your location and needs, there are other options potentially available in your area.

Your local HomeField team can give you a full rundown of the state and local regulations and codes you need to consider before doing a new residential septic system design. Find your nearest HomeField, and they’ll shoot you straight.

Yes, it is. In addition to knowing what type of soil you have (and how that can affect the type of system you need), we also need to know the permeability of the soil and some other factors to make sure the system designed for you will actually work the way you need it to!

Are you creating septic system designs for a 1 bedroom cabin with 1 bathroom and 2 people living there? Or are you building a forever home with 5 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and plans to host a lot of parties? Depending on your actual floorplans, expected needs, and projected future state, we’ll calculate how big a tank and system you need to do what you want to do comfortably.

Sadly…no. You could design something as an amateur septic system enthusiast, but you wouldn’t be able to get the permits and approval to actually build your dream creation. Sorry.
