Some of these waterways are considered by the State as “concerned” for near nonattainment of the contract recreation use due to elevated bacteria concentrations or “impaired”. Failing OSSFs were identified as potential sources of pollution in the Joe Pool Lake and Village Creek-Lake Arlington Watershed Protection Plan. Funding will be available to repair or replace approximately 10 failing OSSFs within the watershed.
