How Much Care Does My Septic Need, Anyway?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t

Just like taking care of your car, how you maintain your septic system greatly affects how long it will last.

For an old conventional septic system, you need to commit to regular pumping (typically every 3-5 years), protecting your home (drain or leach) field, not overloading your system, and not flushing anything harmful down the drain.<\/p>\n

For newer aerobic systems, you need to commit to regular inspections (at least once a year), an advantage maintenance plan (to keep it running smoothly), and be diligent to monitor alarms to prevent further issues.<\/p>\n

For both types of system a commitment to care will keep things running smoothly for years.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
