Video Camera Sewer Line Inspections
August 20, 2025
If your drains are gurgling, draining slowly, or you’re spotting mysterious wet areas in your yard, it might be time for a Sewer Line Video Inspection. At HomeField Onsite Environmental, we get you answers fast—before small issues turn into costly problems.
What Is a Sewer Line Video Inspection?
A sewer line video inspection gives us a real-time look inside your pipes. One of our licensed technicians inserts a fiber-optic cable equipped with a high-resolution camera and light directly into your sewer line. The camera sends live video to a monitor so we can see exactly what’s going on.
The camera is also equipped with a measuring sensor, so if there’s a break, a blockage, or root intrusion, we can locate it with precision—no guessing involved. We’ll give you a full rundown of what we see and what it means and provide an estimate for any repairs or replacements needed.

Video Inspections for Home Sales
When you’re buying a home, you can inspect things like flooring and appliances pretty easily. But what about the sewer line? That’s something most buyers forget—and it can lead to costly surprises later.
Whether you’re purchasing a brand-new home or a decades-old property, it’s smart to inspect the sewer lateral. Older homes may have outdated pipe materials like cast iron, Orangeburg, or galvanized steel that are prone to failure. And even newer homes can have hidden issues from previous owners’ habits—like pouring grease down the drain or flushing wipes that don’t break down.
A video inspection helps spot those issues early, before they become your problem.
What’s Included in a Sewer Line Inspection?
HomeField’s flat rate Plumbing Line Inspection includes:
- A visual camera inspection of all plumbing lines inside the home
- A complete video of the main sewer or septic line leading to the city tap or septic tank
It’s worth noting: the ADEQ septic inspection doesn’t include the plumbing lines leading to the tank—so if you’re buying a home on septic, this is a smart add-on.
Don’t wait until there’s a flood in your home or yard. A video inspection is one of the easiest ways to prevent surprises, protect your investment, and plan ahead.
HomeField Onsite Environmental is here to help you see what’s happening—literally—inside your lines.
