How a Site & Soils Test Works

During testing, an engineer or licensed professional evaluates your soil using one of two methods:

• Percolation Test (Perc Test): Measures how fast water drains into a pre-dug hole.

• Soil Evaluation: Analyzes texture, structure, and other characteristics at different depths.

After testing, the engineer sends results to ADEQ. ADEQ determines what system to install, its required size, and placement.
